We are committed to the principle of strength training for all ages. Our philosophy is that building and maintaining strength is the cornerstone of a healthy and active life, regardless of how old you are. For our younger clients, this means building a foundation for athletic performance and injury prevention. For our older clients, it’s about maintaining bone density, improving balance, and preserving independence.

Our programs focus on functional training, a dynamic approach that moves your body in all planes of motion to replicate real-life movements. Our personal training sessions are either 30 or 50 minutes long and are meticulously designed to enhance core strength, balance, and stability, which are critical for both daily activities and peak athletic performance. We also incorporate plyometric training to increase your power, speed, and endurance.

As the area’s only personal training facility owned and operated by a physical therapist, Excel Fitness Center brings a unique, results-driven approach to every session. We don't just train your body; we empower you with the knowledge and techniques to take your fitness to a new level.

Our Unique Approach to Training

Our personal training sessions work to build a strong core and foundation. The core of our philosophy is fitness adaptability, which means consistently challenging your body in new ways. By changing the frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercises you do on a regular basis, we prevent plateaus and continually challenge your body to grow stronger and more capable.

It typically takes our bodies four to six weeks to adapt to a training method, which is why we regularly update your program to keep you progressing. This approach ensures your body can cope with the constantly changing demands of your environment, setting you up for success in everyday life, sports, and hobbies.

Excel Fitness Center is conveniently located at 2 Morristown Road in Bernardsville, NJ. Ample parking can be found behind the building, next to the Bernardsville Library.
